Rainer Erich (‘Eric’) Scheichelbauer was born in Vienna, and studied photography, philosophy and Dutch. Today, he creates and produces typefaces, teaches type design, and translates Dutch books into German. Internationally, he is known for his involvement with the font editor Glyphs, for which he has been writing tutorials and handbooks.
