Phantipa Thanchookiet is a co-founder of LIKAYBINDERY ; Bookbinding and paper craft studio in Bangkok, Thailand. She holds a MA with Distinction in Typo/graphic Studies from LONDON COLLEGE OF PRINTING and MA in Book Arts from CAMBERWELL COLLEGE OF ARTS, London. LIKAYBINDERY is an independent studio founded by Mali Chulakiet (LI) and Phantipa Thanchookiet (KAY), who share their passion for books, their aesthetic value, paper and the design of information. The studio specialises in handmade bookbinding, paper craft, and the production of book based artworks since 2005. Using the medium of books as a space to explore such issue throughout its structure, the medium turns from a tool of information into a physical and literal vehicle of artistic expression. Over the years, their own arts have come to fruitation. LIKAYBINDERY has produced hundreds of handmade book that stirred public interest and be recognized as delicate art form. Phantipa became a part-time lecturer in many top communication design schools, her studio offered various classes ranged from pure aesthetics to practical adaptability. She joined 8 group exhibitions from 2005 until now and just held a solo exhibition for the 10th anniversary of the studio in 2015.
