“Float or Sink”

What is really going on behind the scene with Thai tone marks and vowels? What seems to be a simple thing from the font user point of view is not as simple and straight forward for type designer. Suppakit will give you an inside look on what sinks them down too low in some applications and not others created a typographic chaos. The presentation will also address a classic problem that regularly found in the daly use of Thai font “the floating tone mark” and how to avoid this error in the era of webfont. As a type designer and font engineer he will suggest a permanent fix and give an idea on what Thai type designers should integrate into their practice.
