I propose to lead an afternoon workshop exploring creative typeface design. The workshop will be hands on! The group will be asked to work on individual letterforms based on a simple grid using geometric shapes to create experimental characters. Initial ideas will be hand drawn on a small scale. If there is space and time available I would like to work towards large scale drawings of letterforms. I ran a similar workshop recently and the results were very interesting and creative.
