Up close and personal with Christian Schwartz. One of the most notable type designers of the decade. 21 November 2013 at Cadson Demak from 10 am to 4pm. Spend the whole day in a serious group discussion in order to take your development up to another level.
Typeface design is an iterative process, and learning how to edit is probably the most important skill in taking a typeface from a good idea to a great, usable tool. Type designer Christian Schwartz will review typefaces in progress, discuss possible improvements in drawing and spacing, and will also help the individual designers review how well the type they've drawn matches up so far with their original concept and intended usage. Participants are required to bring printed proofs of at least one unfinished typeface of their own design, along with a laptop, as there will be designated time to work during the session. Discussions will take place as a group. Access to a laser printer will be provided.
